Dear members of American Board of Forensic Odontology ABFO...
International Journal of Dental Anthropology IJDA publishes articles on topics
such as Attrition, Occlusion, Morphology, Odontometry, Pathology, Growth and
Development and Cultural Treatment topics, treated from the
clinical, bioanthropological, bioarchaeological, genetic and evolutionary focus.
Dental Anthropology is not a well-known field of research in the world due to
its recent specialization as a Bioanthropological subdiscipline.
In the investigations of current and past human groups, the dental system
analysis is too useful to solve current Anthropological problems.
Studies of dental morphology can help us to solve queries related to individual
aspects like Sex, Age, Diet, Oral Disease and Anomalies in Development and
Growth stages, even the Identification of N.N´s in forensic contexts and group
aspects from special morphological traits analysis like contacts among groups,
migrations, geographic and genetic isolations, etc. tied to studies of Human
Population and Osteological Biology.
Submissions (articles or reports) may be in English or Spanish. Authors should
submit an original and two copies of their manuscripts (including all figures,
tables, references and notes), along with an abstract in both English and
Spanish, to the editor.
